Johnny Irion & Chris Murphy

Johnny Irion & Chris Murphy will perform a concert at the Bar Centro Excursionista in Valencia. Johnny Irion is a recognized musician in the American Folk-Rock scene, having performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall, as well as collaborating with artists such as Wilco, Pete Seeger, and R.E.M. His style combines the sweetness of melodies with the depth of the passions of 1960s California Rock and Traditional Folk. His album Wassaic Way, produced by Jeff Tweedy, was the result of his Folk explorations alongside Sarah Lee Guthrie, and his rock project U.S. Elevator was praised in Rolling Stone. Chris Murphy brings an angelic violin that travels from the Appalachians to the Mediterranean, in a debt declared to his hero, David Lindley. His new album Sleeping Soldiers of Love was recorded in Jackson Browne's studio.
