Boom Boom Kid

Boom Boom Kid is Carlos «Nekro» Rodríguez, one of the most restless figures in Argentine underground music. He spent the nineties leading Fun People, a hardcore band whose songs alternated between Spanish and English within the same phrase, and about which there is still great admiration throughout Latin America. Since 2001, he has directed Boom Boom Kid as his own project: around 300 songs, more than twenty albums, all self-published through his own label, Ugly Records, including graphic design and fanzines. A typical concert by Boom Boom Kid is full-throttle hardcore. But this time it's something different. The same band, the same songs, in an intimate studio setting with the audience gathered around them. Find a spot in the front row or stay further back: you decide. You'll be very close, with just a few meters between you and the band!
