EL LARGO CAMINO

THE LONG JOURNEY is a theatrical production that addresses the reality of war and its consequences through three interconnected stories that take place in Ukraine, Russia, and Madrid. The play explores the fear, anguish, and bravery of those caught in the violence, showing the human side of armed conflicts. In one scene, the chaos and fear in a maternity hospital in Ukraine during the early hours of the war are described, while in another scene, four women struggle to maintain calm in a building under bombardment. Another story narrates the everyday life of two women, Valentina and Anna, who live in separate apartments in Ukraine and Russia, connected by phone calls and the preparation of a stew. Finally, it focuses on the experience of several women who worked in the care and accommodation of refugees from Ukraine, highlighting the importance of teamwork and adapting to new circumstances.
