LA CELESTINA is a production of Calema Producciones that is presented in castellano on November 20th at 8:00 PM. In this version, Celestina is a jester who performs the Tragicomedia of Calisto and Melibea before her audience, using the jester language and techniques of popular theater, such as Commedia dell’Arte, the clown, or the buffoon. Celestina, an old媒婆, acts as an intermediary between the lovers Calisto and Melibea, triggering a chain of deceptions, betrayals, and deaths. The story shows how love and interest lead to tragedy, with characters manipulated by Celestina, who observes and moves the strings of human desire.
