THE ACTIVIST

The Activist are a rock band – that is to say, four lads holed up in a rehearsal room who pack up their songs and emerge from the underground onto the street to perform for a handful of people in a club, creating an incredible, magical and unique moment.
The Activist came about through a suggestion from a mutual friend of Adolfo Barberá and José Celda, who brought them together to form what they described as the ‘ultimate’ rock band. The two had known each other since their teenage years, when they played for the local football team, and later reunited in the late 1990s to start a musical project that never saw the light of day. A few songs remained from that project. Upon reuniting and listening to that old material again, they were delighted and decided to write new tracks and put together a line-up that would bring them to life on stage. The idea was to reconnect with the true essence of their musical roots and bring them to life in the most explosive and devastating way possible.
They needed to find someone with a very specific profile for a very specific idea… to create a bomb.
There were only two people capable of doing this: Rafa Picó “Copi” and Vicente Montesinos.
If you’re thinking of blowing something up, you’ve got to think of them.
And this is the result: THE ACTIVIST, a devastating machine, going against the grain, and ready to tear down the system from within. It’s not pretentious; it’s necessary.
Let’s do this!!
