SONS D’EMBAT + MARIA FAUBEL

SONS D’EMBAT is a formation born in Ontinyent that reinterprets folk songs and musical tradition, building a repertoire of original compositions with contemporary arrangements inspired by the popular melodies of the Iberian Peninsula and the Mediterranean. The guiding thread of their songs is the sound of the diatonic accordion by Pau Barberà, which opens a dialogue with Valencian, Basque or Leonese harmonies, as well as Celtic and flamenco cadences. Maria Faubel, singer-songwriter from Llíria, conveys her vision of the world through music, using voice and guitar to tell stories, awaken awareness and connect with the audience through emotion and reflection. In her lyrics she addresses current social issues, such as machista violence, military conflicts or social injustices, as well as more intimate and reflective topics about personal relationships and the passage of time. Her latest work is titled Miralls.
