PHILIPPE JORDAN

Philippe Jordan presents Mahler's Second Symphony, "Resurrection," at the Palacio de Las Artes Reina Sofía in Valencia. The concert, part of the programming of Les Arts, marks Jordan's debut with a Spanish orchestra, following his roles as musical director of the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert is scheduled for 7:30 PM on July 1, 2027, and features a program that highlights the religious and metaphysical aspects of Mahler's work, especially the final movement, which is described as a sonic odyssey on the meaning of human existence, the Final Judgment, and the hope of eternity.
