SIR MARK ELDER

Sir Mark Elder presents a classical music concert at the Reina Sofía Palace of Arts in Valencia as part of a symphonic cycle. The performance includes works by Igor Stravinsky, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Piotr Ilich Chaikovski, among them the Scherzo à la russe by Stravinsky, the Symphony N° 9 in E-flat major, Op. 70 by Shostakovich, and a selection from The Sleeping Beauty. The concert is part of a broader tour across Spain, focused on Russian composers closely associated with Elder's repertoire and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
