HENGE

HENGE define their music as «cosmic dross» (cosmic trash, the translation: it's clear they don't mess around; that's exactly how they titled their first EP, «Cosmic Dross») and on stage each member acts (disguised) as a fictional character: Zpor (Matthew Whitaker, vocals and guitar), Goo (Pete Turner, bass and synthesizer), Grok (Roy Medhurst, synthesizers) and Nom (Sam Draper, drums). They have built their reputation on the electronic, psychedelic and progressive madness of their hilarious live performances. Their music is one that escapes easy definition, occupying a space between raves and progressive rock, a space that seemed no one knew existed until they arrived. An energetic, subversive and stimulatingly playful space. And very freak.
